Ryuki finale (with bonus footage) released

So the great series has ended. What will happen to all the characters?


Shinji gave up journalism in order to become a priest. He now yells at punk kids in the Shibuya district


Ren went through a series of jobs. From doing host work, to being a salaryman, all the while studying computers in college. He eventually became a hacker, finally getting picked to work in some government office somewhere.


Yui got a part time job as a waitress


Kanzaki joined some bug organization, glad to finally get to wear a mask.


After bumming around a bit, Kitaoka joined a secret agency, then quits to play music and run a goth club.


Gorou-chan went through a series of changes after leaving Kitaoka. Going into tuxedo wear and tattoos. Then he yells at some lady in the rain. Shirou pulls some strings and gets him into the buggy organization, but the stress of a high management job eventually turns him into a bum.


Tezuka went through a multiple personality disorder for a bit, thinking that he was some giant bug man. Then he goes goth for a while, before eventually getting into the computer business with his friend Ren.


Editor-in-chief goes on to make it big in some giant organization. Then he goes underground for a bit. Eventually he settles down, spending his time learning the ways of the samurai, while wearing an old man sweater.


Megumi wears sunglasses at night.

Shimada becomes an OL somewhere, some cellphone company I think. Finally she gets a case of tackyness and marries some bum


Well, what a weekend it has been. And with all good things, it's all over.

Did you have to pick and choose which Rider shows to download? Ryuki? Decade first? Kiva first? Den-O first? Got to pick, choose, and prioritize, that's life!

Garo Movie (now with news)



So the 2010 3D Garo movie will be called "Garo Red Requiem". (Official site)

Accord to this article the movie will use the latest technology to make the whole thing in 3D footage. Of course it'll incorporate the CG/VFX that we know in Garo with Omnibus Japans' 3D techniques. It promises for realistic action scenes. The goal is to be in theaters 2010.

Of course Amemiya Keita will be directing. Erm. 撮影はすでに７月からスターしている。 This line says the filming has stared since July already, but I think they mean "started"

So... Ryuki is as good as done and we're throwing a pretty wild Ryuki release party this weekend (sorry people away at Comic Con) Expect some cool stuff to go along with these last few episodes

But remember yesterday how I said there'll be a surprise at the end? Yup, we're ready to move on to the next KR series after Ryuki. What will it be?!

Or just fun. Anyway, I was sorting my pictures folder a couple nights ago, and realized that I have made a ton of photoshops in my pursuit of an amusing front page. Those Fuuma pics from a few days ago were at least an hour or two of work (surprisingly enough)

Card Warrior Kamen Riders

So I finished reading this manga a couple weeks ago (started in April, but was delayed). It's the manga for the Card Warrior Kamen Rider toy series

This story takes place in Parallel Mirror World. Yup, it's not enough to make it one or another, it's Parallel Mirror World. As you can expect, all the Kamen Rider characters are alternate universe and basically have none of the personalities from the TV series.

The plot is mainly about the "good Kamen Rider" featuring Ryuki and DragReder against the "evil Kamen Rider" led by Shadowmoon.

But the whole thing is structured as a silly childrens comic. The jokes are pretty juvenile. Ryuki always acts like an asshole and the main gag is him beating the crap out of everyone else. If you like a silly comic about SD Kamen Riders, check it out. But don't expect any sort of compelling story
