Garo Movie (now with news)



So the 2010 3D Garo movie will be called "Garo Red Requiem". (Official site)

Accord to this article the movie will use the latest technology to make the whole thing in 3D footage. Of course it'll incorporate the CG/VFX that we know in Garo with Omnibus Japans' 3D techniques. It promises for realistic action scenes. The goal is to be in theaters 2010.

Of course Amemiya Keita will be directing. Erm. 撮影はすでに７月からスターしている。 This line says the filming has stared since July already, but I think they mean "started"

Tenkuukai no Yasuragi

First, I have to say this is one of my favorite songs for one of my favorite sentai. And it's sung by DekaPink, bonus points.

I've been thinking about an effect for this song since Dragonhawk's Garo with the halo effect. I wanted to do a ring effect of some sort, and ended up a neat candle effect instead.

It's a beautiful song from a very cute girl. Enjoy!

Geki 35 released

You might notice something new in the credits. Distro veteran Dhawk is now getting credit for his QC work for Geki (he's been really good about pointing stuff out before we released, so it's about time). Please don't confuse him with Dragonhawk, who also QC's Geki (Typesetter of Bouken, Garo, and Sazer-X fame). Dhawk and Dragonhawk, no mistakes get pass them!

Contrary to the people that are saying "GARO IS LICENSED", we are waiting for more evidence that it has been licensed in the US. The magazine article in question states that Garo is an "Animation". While this would be very nice, we will be waiting for concrete evidence. This magazine article is vague at best. If anything else becomes known we will let all of you know about it here. The Tracker is having issues at the moment, but we are going to release some stuff anyway. Transformers The Headmasters episode 17, Boukenger 36, and Garo Beast of the White Night episode 2. These are all irc only for now. We will put up torrents as soon as we are able.

999: Sh15uya 02. More creepy, mysterious goodness for you!

And...

From Count Zero, Round Zero, and back to Zero everything must have a beginning. And so we go to the series that started it all, The First is a 1000! Based on the manga by Ishinomori Shoutarou, this is what started all the KR tv series. If you enjoyed nitty, serious toku dramas like Garo, Ultraman Nexus, and the KR series, you will love The First for it's mature appeal.

Whoo, 1000 releases! Man that was a lot of work. Good night.

A rare toku news report from a member of our group who was at a convention recently with some Toei members.

Without going into details (stay tuned to our forums for a more thorough synopsis of what happened), some interesting tidbits of news came up:

-There will be a new Kamen Rider the First movie this winter

-A 90 minute Garo tv special is coming in a few months

-A special 30th anniversary Sentai movie is coming out next year (unfortunately that means a magi/bouken movie is on hold at the moment)

Edit: According to my friend, he says that this information is subject to change depending on sales, sponsors, etc.
