It's that time of year again. We need to pay for our server. The goal this year is $500 USD. The donation button is on both the front page and the torrent tracker.

The server will be going down for an upgrade Tuesday, August 14 at 10:00 PM PDT. The upgrade is expected to take one to two hours.

The forums are back up! If you are unable to log into the forums, you must delete the cookies from the tvnihon.com domain (and all subdomains).

The forums and front page will be going down for maintenance on Monday, May 21 at 12:00 AM CDT (6:00 AM BST). During this time the forums will go down to be moved to a new URL (forums.tvnihon.com) and then the front page will go down for an upgrade.

Over the next couple of days the URLs on the site will be changing. The tracker has been moved to http://tracker.tvnihon.com. Please update your bookmarks to reflect this. There is a permanent redirect in place so the old links will continue to work. The forums will be moved to http://forums.tvnihon.com within the next few days if all goes well with the tracker. This has been done because the site is growing (we will be adding a wiki soon) and the new URLs should make navagation easier.

There will be some server downtime tonight as I transfer everything over to the new server. The process will take a couple hours. Once this is done, the site will be up for most people fairly quickly; however, for some it may take up to 24 hours for the site to come back up.
Edit: By tonight, I mean the early morning of 5/21 in the central daylight timezone.

Over the next week, I will be upgrading and moving around various things on the server, so the website may go down unexpectedly for a few minutes or so at times. I will try to keep the downtime to a minimum and I will do upgrades that noticeably affect the website early in the morning (roughly 2-3 AM CDT (GMT - 5?)).
As with the forums, they will be going down for maintenance between 2-3 AM CDT on Sunday, March 27 for anywhere up to an hour or two depending on how well things go.
