What's the deal with the do at the end of Decade?

"When the characters say "decade" its pronounced like "decade-oh" yet the Decade belt just says "decade" without the "oh" sound. I noticed a trend with other "English" words where they often add this "oh" sound to the end of the word. Why is this?
